Our newest Explore Centre in Tang Hall has high quality rooms available to hire with spaces ranging from 3 people up to 250. Businesses pay from £25 to £90 per hour, not for profit groups pay from £15 to £50 per hour.

All rooms include use of free wi-fi and flipcharts. Use of IT equipment (PC, digital projector and screen) in all rooms except the Garden room and Mezzanine at York Explore and Room 9 at Burnholme.
*The Mezzanine at York Explore is an open sided space above the family history room. It is accessed by stairs and doesn’t have the option to use a screen or projector and no food can be consumed in this space.
Out of hours use of libraries
Available at libraries excluding Dunnington, Fulford and New Earswick. Please contact the library for further information.
Cancellation Charges
More than 21 days before event incurs no charge. Between 21 – 7 days before event there will be a charge of 50% of the original price. With 7 days or less remaining before the event, a full charge will be incurred.

We provide a professional, high quality and friendly service. Whether it’s a working lunch or a celebratory party, we will work closely with you to cater for all your needs and dietary requirements. We always use the freshest ingredients and work with local producers and businesses to ensure that you receive the very best quality.
