All our libraries and reading cafes will be closed on Wednesday 13 November for our annual staff conference, any books due back on this date will be extended until the following day.
Christmas and New Year opening hours
We will be closed Tuesday 24th December until Wednesday 1st January inclusive. York, Clifton, Acomb and Tang Hall Explore and some of our reading cafes will have limited opening between Christmas and New Year, please see webpages for for more information. The Community Stadium will be open for self service as per the centres opening hours.

Drop-in, browse and borrow – you’re sure of a warm welcome!
You can use a PC. Please use our booking webpage to book a session. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to log in. Alternatively just give us a ring to book a session.
If you still love reading. but find it difficult to get to your local library, our Home Library Service offers you the chance to get the books that you love to read delivered straight to your door.

What’s on at Strensall Library
All activities are free unless otherwise stated.
Under 5s Story and Rhyme time: Every Thursday 10.30-11am, drop-in.
Lego Club: Mondays 3-5pm and Saturdays 10-11am, drop in
Pokemon Club: Last Monday of the month (unless it’s a Bank Holiday) 3.30-4.30pm, drop in. Suitable for ages 8-13 years
Craft Club/Knit and Knatter: Tuesdays 10.30-12pm, drop in
Reading Group: Second Friday of every month. bring along your current read or just have natter about your favourite book. There is no set book, so you have the freedom to choose what you read, with no pressure. Just pop in!

Getting there
There is no car park but limited on street parking opposite the Library is available.
Strensall Library is served by the No.5 bus from the City Centre which stops right outside the Library.
