Christmas and New Year opening hours
We will be closed Tuesday 24 December until Wednesday 1 January inclusive. York, Clifton, Acomb and Tang Hall Explore and some of our reading cafes will have limited opening between Christmas and New Year, please see webpages for for more information. The Community Stadium will be open for self service as per the centres opening hours.

You can use a PC. Please use our booking webpage to book a session. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to log in. Alternatively just give us a ring to book a session.
If you still love reading. but find it difficult to get to your local library, our Home Library Service offers you the chance to get the books that you love to read delivered straight to your door.

What’s on at Dringhouses Library
All activities are free unless otherwise stated.
Knit and natter: Every Tuesday 10am-12pm
Parent’s Place: Every Tuesday 11am -12.15pm. An informal drop in session for new and expectant parents. Meet other parents, and let your babies have a wriggle or play with some toys.
Lego club: Tuesdays 3.30-4.30pm drop-in.
Under 5s Storytime: Every Thursday and Saturday. 11-11.30am, drop-in.
Children’s Craft Club: Every Thursday 3.30-4.30pm
Reading group: Second Friday of the month and second Monday of the month, 2-3pm.
Getting there
There is no car park, but limited on street parking is available.
Dringhouses Library is served from the city centre by First Group bus #4 every fifteen minutes, First Group #12, Transdev #14 and Connexions bus #13 every half hour, and the Transdev Coastliner #840, #843, #X40, #X43 every hour. Bus stop is St Edward’s Church, a one minute walk from the library along Tadcaster Road.
