What’s On at Hungate Reading Cafe
We’re a family-friendly Explore Reading Cafe with plenty of space, and we’re part of Explore Libraries and Archives so you can borrow or return books, get a library card, settle down to read or write, or explore our exciting programme of pop-up events and regular activities for adults, families and children.
Under 5s Storytime and Crafts: Every Tuesday 10.30-11.30am drop-in.
Facilities
We’re one of York’s hidden gems, a stylish urban cafe in Hungate very close to the Shambles in York city centre. We serve handmade sandwiches, wraps, cakes, hot and cold drinks and more. We have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes to choose from and change our specials seasonally.
Our cafe is accessible for wheelchair users.
