Drop-in, browse and borrow – you can be sure of a warm welcome!
You can use a PC. Please use our booking webpage to book a session. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to log in. Alternatively, just give us a ring to book a session.
If you still love reading but find it difficult to get to your local library, our Home Library Service offers you the chance to get the books that you love to read delivered straight to your door.

What’s On at Bishopthorpe Library
All activities are free unless otherwise stated.
Lego Club: Every Wednesday 3.15 – 4.30pm. Suitable for children aged 4+. Duplo is available for younger siblings to play with.
Under 5s Storytime: Every Thursday 10.30-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes and songs.
Book Group: Bishy Bookworms meet on the third Saturday of the month, 11am-12pm. New members are always welcome!
