Facilities
Drop-in, browse and borrow – you’re sure of a warm welcome!
We have a welcoming cafe serving a variety of food and drink.
You can use a PC. Please use our booking webpage to book a session. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to log in. Alternatively just give us a ring to book a session.
If you still love reading, but find it difficult to get to your local library, our Home Library Service offers you the chance to get the books that you love to read delivered straight to your door.

What’s on at Acomb Explore
All activities are free unless otherwise stated.
Knits and Tots Craft Group: Every Monday 10am-12pm drop-in.
Adult Lego Club: Every Monday 5.30-7pm. For age 14+, drop-in.
Stay and Play: Every Wednesday 10.30-11.30am. Enjoy playing with a selection of toys with your child in our children’s area. No need to book, just drop-in.
Under 5s Storytime: Every Thursday 10.30-11.00am. Drop-in for stories and rhymes.
Reading Group: Fourth Thursday of the month 11am–12pm. Please contact us for more details.
Boccia: Every Friday 2.00-3.00pm drop-in.
Pokemon Club: Every Saturday 9.30-10.30am. Please book via Eventbrite
Lego Club: Every Saturday 11am-12 pm Suitable for children 6-11 years. Cost is 50p per child, no need to book, just drop-in.
Craft Club: We have two! Every Thursday 5.30pm – 7pm and every Saturday 11am-1pm. No need to book, just drop-in.

Explore Computers: Every Tuesday 10am – 11am, A one to one computer course for absolute beginners,
Explore the Internet: Every Thursday 3.30 -4.30pm, A five week computer course following on from Explore Computers.
Explore Tablets/Smartphones: Every Tuesday 5 – 6pm, A one to one course to help beginners to use their smartphone or tablet.
Tech Assist: Every Tuesday 11am- 12pm, A one to one session to help customers complete a specific task on-line.
