We’re now open for you to drop-in, browse and borrow – and you don’t need an appointment.

We have a welcoming cafe serving a variety of food and drink.

You can use a PC. Please use our booking webpage to book a session.  You’ll need your library card number and PIN to log in.  Alternatively just give us a ring to book a session.

A click and deliver service for vulnerable customers continues through the Home Library Service.

We want everyone to enjoy our libraries again and feel confident when using them.

So when you visit us please remember:

  • Respect other people’s need for space.
  • Protect each other: sanitise your hands and choose to wear a face covering in busy spaces.
  • Please avoid visiting us if you are feeling unwell

And, above all, be kind to each other and our staff.

Knits and Tots Craft Group: Every Monday 10am-12pm drop-in.

Under 5’s Storytime:  Every Thursday 10.30-11.00am Drop-in for stories and rhymes.

Reading Group: Fourth Thursday of the month 11am–12pm. Please contact the library for more details. (01904) 552651

Boccia: Every Friday 2.30-3.30pm, please book by calling (01904) 552651

Pokemon Club: Every Saturday 9.30-10.30am. Please book via Eventbrite

Lego Club: Every Saturday 11am-12 pm Suitable for children 6-11 years. Cost is 50p per child, no need to book, just drop in.

Craft Club: Every Saturday 11am-1pm. No need to book, just drop in.

There is a car park available.

Covered cycle rack outside the library.

Buses: First York Numbers 1, 4 and 5 from Railway Station.
