Last year it cost over £3.5 million to keep our libraries and archives running. Around two-thirds of our funding comes from our contract with City of York Council, but we rely on donations, grants, and fundraising to cover the rest.

£31.25 pays a specialist archive conservator for one hour.

£250 pays a specialist archive conservator for a whole day.
