Poppy display

Copmanthorpe Library will be marking the 100th anniversary of the Armistice with a special display created by members of the Craft Group. Using hand-made poppies  they have created a display in the library and are inviting people to add details of their loved ones who were lost or fought in any of the wars of the last century. Also as part of the commemorations for the weekend of remembrance local poet Caroline Pemberton will be reading her poems on the theme of the First World War on Saturday 10 November at 11am.

You are welcome to drop-in at Copmanthorpe Library at any time to add names to the display or to hear the poetry readings on Saturday.
